Laboratory Services Division

The Laboratory Services Division has been widely recognized and is accredited with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Standard by NABL, a Constituent Board of Quality Council of India. It is actively engaged in providing quality and affordable soil, food, water and organic fertilizers testing services to various stakeholders. It also extends testing and training services to research scholars and students from various departments of basic sciences, agriculture, food science and technology, bio-technology and environmental sciences etc. from different universities and colleges.

Academic Services

Anna University – Adjunct Lab: Instrumental analysis practical sessions were conducted for 40 students of B.Tech Food Technology at NAF Food Testing Lab.

Training Services

NAF – FoSTaC Empaneled Training Partner

National Agro Foundation is empaneled as Training Partner (TP) for Food Safety Training and Certification (FOSTAC) by FSSAI since 2018.

36 FoSTaC FSS manufacturing, catering, retail, distribution and storage; transport training programs were conducted for various companies and colleges covering 1301 candidates during the current year

Reliance Retail - Corporate Training

28 FoSTaC FSS training programs on advance retail and distribution were conducted at Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Odisha and Karnataka during July 2023 to September 2023. Overall, 846 trainees were trained as Food Safety Supervisors totally this year.

Project Support

NAF – BNY Mellon Food Safety Project (IG)

23 FPOs in seven districts of Tamil Nadu were given advisory on improvement in sanitation and hygiene aspects of their food production premises by NAF technical team of experts.

Food samples were also collected from the FPOs to assess their quality and insights were given by NAF Experts for quality improvement to better sales of the product.

BNY Mellon Food Safety Project

Three FoSTaC FSS training programs on street food vending and basic catering were conducted at Coimbatore during November 2023. A total of 115 food business operators were trained as food safety supervisors.

NAF – Pershing Soil Health Card Project

Under BNY Mellon Pershing India CSR Support, NAF is implementing a project to support the FPOs farmers on “Assessment of soil health status and distribution of soil health cards”.
